A DOOR OF HOPE
Treasures of the Copper Scroll Vendyl Jones The host of AuthorTalk, Ron Way, is rebroadcasting this interview with author, Vendyl Jones, recorded upon his return from an archeological dig in Israel, and before his death in 2010. The movie "Indiana Jones" was loosely based on the lifelong search for the lost Ark of the Covenant by the real archeologist, Vendy Jones.
The book, A Door of Hope, tells of an inscription on a mysterious Copper Scroll, found in the Qumran caves in Israel. The clues from the scroll led Professor Vendyl Jones on a life-long quest to locate sacred treasures from the Temple of Solomon. He takes the reader from the dusty plains of Texas to the sun-baked Judean wilderness where his archaeological dig yielded a huge cache of ancient spice, and a clay vial of precious oils, thought by him to perhaps be the anointing oil and the incense from Herod's great Temple from the time of Jesus.
